The basswood material is a generally light-colored plywood made from the American Linden tree. Although sometimes called "whitewood" there may be some varying shades which may not precisely match the pictures. The unfinished yantras can be painted, stained or varnished. However, due to the thinness of the material, they may be subject to slight warping even if not exposed to direct sun and moisture.
