NAMA reviewed Ayurveda Counselor
Narayana Ayurveda offers NAMA recognized and reviewed Ayurveda Counselor Course

 AAC

Narayana Institute of Vedic Arts and Sciences, named after Lord Narayana, the maintainer of Hindu Trinity Gods, stands as a private school. The word “Vedic” comes ancient Hindu Veda scriptures like the 4 Vedas, 18 Mahapuranas and ancient texts of Jyotish and Vastu. These ancient texts are a treasure trove of ancient wisdom, healing, Herbal Alchemy, rituals, mantras, and how to live a life of balance and wellness.

The education is imparted with a deep reverence for the spiritual essence that underlies this sacred Vedic knowledge. Our educational model offers a spiritual journey into the profound realm of Vedic knowledge of Vastu, Yoga, Herbs, Mantras, Vedic counseling, and Ayurvedic Medicine. Here, we follow the timeless Vedic tradition, rooted in the sacred teachings passed down through generations. We follow a Guru Shishya parampara. Our teachers learned from their teachers in a spiritual setting, who learned from their teachers etc. Our mission is to nurture the souls of our students and help them balance their own karmic journey, as they embark on the path of healing and self-discovery.

Our training program for Vedic Ayurveda Counselors have been reviewed and recognized by the Ayurveda Accreditation Commission and is a candidate for accreditation.  We believe that the Vedic practice of herbal alchemy, and Ayurveda are not limited to the physical body but a synchronized harmony of the body, mind, and spirit. As you journey with us, you will gain knowledge and insight into the deep spiritual rituals locked in Sanskrit that have been translated and decoded for the students.

Our school provides comprehensive instruction in ancient Ayurvedic and Vedic healing practices through online courses and Hybrid learning (a mix of online and in-person training delivery). Our ONLINE format is affordable without compromising on quality. The Hybrid training delivery format requires an internship and a certain percentage of classes in person to qualify for the NAMA (National Ayurvedic Medical Association) exam.

The college was established by the Husband and Wife team, Monica B Groover, Ph.D. (Manjulali Dasi), and, Pandit Atul Krishna Das. Both wanted to establish an affordable, online college, based on Samkhya as well as Vedantic principles.

Mission

Our mission is to promote alternative, spiritual, and holistic wellness education in Vedic arts- that include Vastu, Yoga, Ayurveda, Mantras, and Vedic Counseling.

Ayurveda
Ayurveda ancient system from India for balancing the mind and body. Ayurveda is a collection of complimentary, holistic and alternative lifestyle practices whose aim is to balance the mind and body through the use of herbs, spices, cooking, meditation, yoga, and seasonal cleansing. Our sources of books are Astanga Hrdyam, Caraka Samhita, and Sushruta Samhita. We also source our materials from Bhava Prakasha, Madhava Nidan, and Sharangadhara Samhita.  In addition, in our classes, we also talk about how Ayurveda can complement and be incorporated with Traditional Chinese medicine or other Shaman, modern Western herb practices.

Training delivery is either entirely online and is the most affordable and easy option. The second option is hybrid- a combination of In-person and Online which costs a little more.
The third option is mentorship is where you visit us in person for an in-person experience at our sliding scale Narayana Ayurveda Center in Alachua to experience Ayurveda, dealing with clients in person. This one is the most expensive.

We want to make Ayurvedic education affordable by using Open Source Learning Management like Moodle. Other teachers include  Dr. Priyanka Rajan, BAMS Ayurvedic Doctor from India,, Dr Mithun Baliga, a Medical Doctor, and Ayurveda Practitioner, and Monica Groover PhD, AD*. Guest lectures may be provided by other highly qualified faculty as well not only proficient in Ayurveda but other disciplines.
